Meta states that his controversial decision to put an end to his business control program has not influenced advertisers’ expenditure. In his call from the 4th quarter of 2024, Meta Cfo Susan has ensured them to investors that the request for advertisers remains strong and the commitment of the company’s security company remains unchanged, despite the new measures. In the meantime, CEO Mark Zuckerberg has observed that the characteristic of the notes of the community that replaced the control of the facts is simply the “best” system and has credited to X with the original idea.
He told them to the investors that Meta had not “seen any evident impact from our changes to the policy of the content on the shopping of advertisers”, but did not share any detail. He also indicated tools based on artificial intelligence how to help companies maximize the value of their advertising expenditure.
In the meantime, Zuckerberg has added more color on the reasons behind the control decision of the destination of Meta, announced at the beginning of this month, which for the moment applies only to the United States.
“I’m not afraid to admit when someone does something better than us,” he said. “I think it’s a kind of work to go and do the best job and implement the best system.”
The executive also rejected the interpretation of people of the end of the control of the facts as meaning that destination no longer worries about adding context or fighting disinformation.
“It’s not fair,” said Zuckerberg. “In reality I think that the system of notes of the community like the one that X has had for a while is actually only more effective than what we were doing before, and I think our product will improve for this.”
Certainly, there were many hilarious and often obscene memes that tried the Zuckerberg’s decision to put an end to the control of the facts, most of whom focused on the same manager.
It is not surprising that the meta finishes control of the facts in the United States just as Trump entered power, given the long -standing concerns of the Republicans who were censored on social media when the controls of the facts were applied to their published content.
The move of Meta to directly tear the idea of X as a replacement of the control of the facts, rather than inventing a new system in its own right, is equal to the course. The company has a long history of copying ideas from its competition, as when it borrowed the concept of Snap stories. Zuckerberg years ago admitted him to the antitrust hearings of the congress when he admitted that Facebook had “certainly adapted” other characteristics in which the competitors had led. In these days, it is less shy in giving credit to those ideas that Meta is taking alone.
