On Wednesday Spotify announced an update of his app designed to offer users greater control over their listening and recommendations experience. The renewed experience introduces a handful of new features that will gradually launch for Spotify users and Premium subscribers, including those to help you manage your tail, your current listening experience, help with the creation of playlists and more.
Changes help to balance an app that often is highly based on algorithmic recommendations to suggest and play music, instead giving users the power to model what is played, when and with what frequency.
For Premium users, Spotify’s tail has been renewed. The new design offers easier access to checks such as shuffle, shuffle, repetition and sleep timer, says society. Smart Shuffle and Autoplay can also be completely moved from the Spotify settings, if preferred.
In addition, the premium subscribers will begin to see the tracks that Spotify is recommending to play after their traces in the queue, so that they can choose in advance what can remain in the queue.
While listening to music, you can touch an updated hide button that is now more intuitive, Spotify says, when you come across a song you are not in the mood inside your playlist. The button will hide the track in the playlist on all devices. However, the company will soon introduce an even stronger version of the “hide and nail and launch of a new 30 -day Snooze function which will temporarily remove a track from your advice.
The company is also introducing functionality to improve playlist management on mobile devices. In the upper part of your playlists, now you will find the Add buttons, order and modify that allow you to add traces, change the title or cover of the playlist and organize the sequence of songs.
The listeners in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States will be able to use their songs appreciated to create a playlist after filtering it first by genre, then touching the new option to “turn into a playlist”.

Other music care tools have also been transferred. Now, users can touch the creation button on the bottom right of the mobile app to access the tools to create playlists, collaborate with the playlists with friends and join a mixture (a playlist that combines the musical tastes of two people by presenting songs that will enjoy both).
Premium subscribers, in the meantime, can touch the Crea button to access the most recent playlist and Jam function, a real -time listening session in which more people can contribute to a shared tail.
As a result of the changes, Spotify has transferred the library card to be the third option at the bottom of its mobile app.
